PROjECT. II

co:llab [kəˌlabə] noun

  1. PROjECT.’s brand spankin’ new studio for making that design magic [the plans + the palettes. client visits + project presentations]

  2. a space for hosting artists, pop-ups and parties—and moments of meaningful collaboration. the kind that linger. the kind that MAKE DESIGN MATTER.

the grit here is intentional. we stripped it back to the bones before glamming her up. and turned it around in three months—after hours, third shifts, all from notes scribbled on a napkin [churn + burn]. business isn’t front and center. you gotta walk in and feel something first—inspired. curious. what’s around the corner? what’s behind that drape? a little speakeasy energy and a lot of soul.

shoutouts:
karin + jazzy [sketchup magicians], fishmann’s fabrics + basia [custom drapery + tented bath], NOIR [entry chest], cosentino [coffee bar + counters], terrastone [stone] + raspy [custom art]

a steel portal. a draped vestibule. the library stays hidden behind felt curtains. and there are peekaboo moments peppered in—a secret monkey bar, a leather wallcovering that mirrors our custom pillows. literally + figuratively, our branding is embedded in these walls. it’s past lives on blast: renovation rejects, surplus tiles, snippets + scraps. a collage of our favorite design elements pulled from the homes of clients we love. [our history lives here]

dirty details [scrappy, but make it sexy]: painted wood floors. limewashed brick. deep portals carved open. zero exposed drywall. all texture. rip-shred drapery, breezeblock, chains + leather. light moves through glass block, smoked glass, pierced moments throughout… art runs from table to floor. and curves to add softness. every element carries meaning—mantras, memories, people we love.

come through. this is a coworking space for our chosen desigNERD family. if a homie wants to pull up and werk, they’re welcome [always]. settle in and bask in that eastern exposure. It’s cozy in here—industrial, alive. built to gather. built to create. built to come back to.
