EXHIBITIONISTE
a 1920s mercantile exchange turned gallery coterie with mad views of the chicago skyline? sounds like just the spot to build out a baddie bi-level home. owned by two of the biggest names on chicago’s art scene, this steel-and-glass vamp is in the heart of all things cool in the west loop—but you’d never know it’s there unless you know.
a fab collab came together to get her done—set setting studio on interior design, PROjECT. on decor + styling, KWOWK on project management, and zak rose on furniture fabrication—and turn this architectural anomaly into 6,000-square-feet of beautiful living space that gives top billing to art by glenn ligon, jeffrey gibson, young-il ahn, deborah kass, and nick cave.
for our part, PROjECT. layered in the impact and final polish with seductive storytelling to compliment all of that dope art—an abundance of plant babies + branches, mega-plush bedding, crystal slabs, all the fuzzy fur, custom pillows, rubber braided bowls, shelfie-worthy moments galore… and a cutie mohawk vase by jonathan adler just because.
