this lioness [the mother of princes] wanted to flex her feminine power and tap into her brazilian womanity, so we dipped into our carpet bag of tricks for bold AF accents to light it up: animal prints, wispy feathers and felines on blast, serpents + crystals, bodacious curves and sentimental value — all the things for a sexy, glam, wild mashup worthy of a dancing queen.
swooping pendant lights that look like jewelry, transitional spaces activated with art [contemporary paintings + avant-garde photography to mix in with heirloom pieces by her papa], velvety upholstery in punched-up patterns, and fringe in unexpected places [#howwedo]. peep the tall, dark + moody foyer where we commissioned a mural that mimics the geoglyphs made in the soil of the nazca desert in southern peru [IYKYK].
and of course we layered in a few creature comforts for her lion cub, savage [a moon face tabby who has taken a liking to sunbathing on the veranda + putting cicadas in their place] — un huh, presentation pillows and a cat hammock just because. welcome to the jungle, baby. you’re gonna thrive.
