city lofts need more imagination
and fewer Barcelona chairs.
[apologies to Mies.] the only way to
knock that same-old, same-old
stereotype into another orbit is to
dress the place right.
this was a temporary escape while
PROjECT prepped our anxiously
awaiting client’s local new build
[take ll] a haven to decompress and
exude calm in their high-stakes,
my-name-is-on-the-door game.
to highlight an existing collection
of art + mid-century furnishings,
adding velvet turquoise chairs
and a zesty chartreuse banquet
was a good start.
in the master suite, we drew
in a connection to the natural
world with hewn, organic pieces,
textured linens + the right touch.
it’s the kind of place where
unanswered emails don’t mean
life or death and patience is a
part of the palette.
